About Me

Celeste Ballard is a writer/producer for television and film. A feature she co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson called “Strangers” is in the works at Netflix starring Cami Mendes and Maya Hawke. She recently rewrote Space Jam: A New Legacy and SCOOB for Warner Bros and has worked on projects at Netflix Animation and Blue Sky Animation Studios. TV credits include “Wrecked” (TBS) and the critically acclaimed vigilante dramedy “Sweet/Vicious” (MTV). Her humor writing has appeared in The New Yorker Shouts & Murmurs, The Hairpin, and The Rumpus.

Previously, she was the head writer at Above Average, a producer and development executive (Hudson Valley Ballers and Paulilu Mixtape), assistant to Lorne Michaels at Saturday Night Live, and an NBC Page (she wore a Brooks Brothers skirt suit — the first and last skirt suit she’ll ever wear). She received her B.A. in Literature from Yale University and is an alum of the Upright Citizens Brigade. Celeste is originally from Los Angeles but neither of her parents work in entertainment.
